Every year our society drifts further and further from the Biblical principles on which it was founded. Homosexuality, a practice that in the past was regarded as "sin", has now become acceptable, a sexual preference. This should not be. I believe the Bible to be true in its entirety. It says that homosexuality is wrong, a sin.
In Genesis, two cities, Sodom and Gomorrah, were destroyed by God because there was so much wickedness in them. The major offence that is recorded is that of homosexuality. In Romans, another book of the Bible, it says " Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way, men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men." This passage was describing how depraved the people of Rome had become. Another portion of scripture, Corinthians I, lists homosexuals along with thieves, the greedy, swindlers, and the sexually immoral, saying that these will not enter the Kingdom of God.
In the beginning, God created man and woman, not man and man, or woman and woman. A man and a woman together can make a child. Can two of the same sex make a child? Homosexuality is unnatural and causes severe damage to the body and to the spirit.
I'm not a "homophobe" or a "gay-hater". I don't hate people who are homosexual nor would I ever hurt anyone who was gay. Beating someone up is as bad as committing homosexual acts. In God's eyes, sin is sin. One sin is just as bad as the next. God loves every person. It is sin that God hates. A person's sin is between himself/herself and God.
In conclusion, homosexuality is a sin in the sight of God. Some may say it is sexual orientation or sexual preference, but it is sin and it is wrong.
